
At Pfizer David worked on a number of multi-million dollar in-licensing deals, drafted and negotiated agreements in support of Pfizer’s research and development activities, acted as lead counsel for Pfizer’s biotherapeutics program and the Pain Therapeutic Area and was the legal site head for Pfizer’s Michigan Laboratories.
Before joining Pfizer, David was in-house counsel with Esperion Therapeutics, a small biotherapeutic discovery and development company later acquired by Pfizer. At Esperion David handled all of Esperion’s day to day transactional matters, assisted in the preparation of Esperion’s SEC filings, managed litigation, was a member of the business development team and was co-chair of Esperion’s lead development program.
David has lectured at the University of Michigan on various topics including historical perspectives on human subject research, and also serves as a moot court judge at the University of Michigan Law School.
David holds a law degree from George Washington University, Washington, D.C., and a MUP and BA from the University of Michigan.
David Lowenschuss has 15 years of experience working with life science and technology companies. He has worked in-house at large pharmaceutical companies including Warner-Lambert/Parke Davis and Pfizer and at a small biopharmaceutical company (Esperion Therapeutics).
David’s current practice is focused on providing general counsel support to small life science and technology companies. His broad transactional background in the life science research and development sphere allows him to provide efficient and effective legal and business counsel.
